Have you guys heard of this story? Yesterday on DL-Online I read that a family of five chased down a drunk driver after nearly being hit in a head on collision by said driver. Did I mention that the wife was also 29 weeks pregnant? So really, it was only a few months away from being a family of six. The family followed the drunk driver, while phoning police, until the man was apprehended. The driver even noticed he was being followed and tried to lose the family—but to no avail.
While it was courageous what they did, it was more than a little ill-advised. The police themselves have encouraged calls in cases of drunk and reckless driving but not engagement. But it was fortunate that no one was hurt, for everyone involved.
